San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila
& St. John de Goto Pilgrimage.
Discover Japan’s Catholic heritage through the stories of a Filipino martyr and a Goto-born Japanese Jesuit martyr. Filipino pilgrims, Jesuit communities and all interested travelers are welcome.
A journey of faith and connection.
St. John de Goto was a Japanese catechist born in the Goto Islands, remembered among the Jesuit martyrs of 1597. San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila was a Filipino layman associated with the Dominicans, martyred in 1637. Their distinct stories inspire this proposed pilgrimage.

San Lorenzo Ruiz’s feast is observed on 28 September. Our September 2027 offering is a planning concept; exact travel dates and any local liturgical arrangements are unconfirmed.
Discuss either a five-day Goto-only pilgrimage or a seven-day format with a free day and optional Nagasaki tour.
